New Paths, New Voices January 9, 2025
Yesterday was a day full of new experiences.
For the first time, Michael and I attended choir rehearsal - an invitation from Carsten, who welcomed us so warmly. It was quite a challenge. We didn't know the songs or the lyrics, and of course everything is in Danish. The melodies were new to us too. But we did our best, and even though it wasn't perfect, we enjoyed it. It feels good to be part of this community.
And then there was my language and teaching exam in Skagen. I had applied to Cruise Skagen because I'd love to work as a tour guide. The exam was intense - I had to show what I can do linguistically and how I can convey information.
My friend Daniela, who is also in language school with me, had applied in Skagen too. She had her test yesterday as well - and she's been accepted!
Now a demanding time lies ahead of us: language school, training, new tasks. It will be challenging - but we're confident. Together we'll make it. One step at a time. With courage, dedication, and a goal in sight.
