Between the West Coast and Limfjord March 29, 2023
Michael is already dreaming in other worlds, imagining our life on the west coast. Yes, we now say "west coast" instead of "North Sea" - it's just become the natural way of speaking since we learned that the Danes call it that too. It feels somehow right to adopt the local terminology. Maybe that's already a small step toward integration?
The houses we've seen there are truly a dream. I can hardly wait until we drive out there in early summer and see everything with our own eyes. The anticipation is huge, even though...
Yes, even though I'm still playing it both ways. I've really found some beautiful houses on the Limfjord. And not just there - I've also found some further south on the west coast, where Germany would be within reach. It's as if I'm searching for a compromise, for a place that combines the new with the familiar.
A decision needs to be made, I know that. But it's so hard for me! It's not just about the house or the location - it's a decision about where we'll build our future life. Sometimes I wish there were a clear sign showing me which choice is the right one.
At least choosing what to eat is easier....
