Looking Forward to a Special Visit

Uncle Eugen, 83 years old, is coming to visit us in Denmark. An opportunity to see my own life from a new perspective.

Looking Forward to a Special Visit 14 June 2024

Just one more week, and then Peter and Susanne are coming to visit - and we're especially looking forward to Uncle Eugen joining us at 83 years old. This will be a very special visit for us.

When the heart talks itself into things

We've been telling ourselves that it's good we no longer have Ebbi when we have visitors. After all, it's quite stressful trying to juggle dogs, cats, and people under one roof. Yes, you can talk yourself into all sorts of things!

The truth is, of course, that we'll miss her when everyone is here. But perhaps it also helps to be distracted and have the house full of life again.

Curious about the reaction

Regardless - we're looking forward immensely to our visitors. And my old uncle, who has really seen so much of the world, will probably also wonder where his nephew has taken his path. I'm curious to see how he likes it here with us.

At 83, you've already experienced and seen so much that it becomes especially interesting to learn what he thinks of our life here up north. Will he appreciate the peace? The wide open landscape? The different pace of life?

It's lovely when people close to you can see where and how you live. Sometimes you need an outside perspective to appreciate again what you have.
