Langoustine Patties - Recipe

Delicious langoustine patties - a Danish recipe with tender langoustine meat

🥘 Langustine Patties - Recipe

Ingredients (for about 8-10 patties)

About 1 kg cooked langoustines / scampi (yields about 300-400 g pure meat) 1 small onion, finely chopped 1-2 garlic cloves, finely chopped or minced 1 egg 2-3 tbsp breadcrumbs or fine oats (depending on consistency) 1 tsp lemon juice or some zest from an organic lemon 1-2 tbsp chopped parsley (optional: dill) Salt & freshly ground pepper Some butter or oil for frying

Preparation

Prepare the langoustines: Shell the cooked langoustines - preferably use only the delicate tail meat. Cut into small pieces or chop roughly. Mix the mixture: Combine langoustine meat with onion, garlic, egg, parsley and lemon juice. Add breadcrumbs gradually until the mixture is easy to shape.

Season with salt and pepper. Form the patties: Using slightly damp hands, form medium-sized patties. They can look a bit "rustic." Fry: Heat butter or oil in a pan. Fry the patties over medium heat on both sides until golden brown - about 4-5 minutes per side.

Serve: Enjoy immediately! These go particularly well with: A fresh cucumber salad Potatoes with parsley Or a piece of good bread with a little butter

💡 Tip for even more flavor:

A spoonful of Dijon mustard or a touch of chili in the mixture gives the patties a subtle kick - according to your taste.
