The best news in ages! Susanne and Peter got in touch and asked if they could visit us the day after Easter, on April 2nd. They'd stay from Tuesday through Friday. When their message arrived, I literally cheered and jumped for joy. I'm so incredibly happy! I can't even express how much I'm looking forward to this. I don't think I've ever been so excited about visitors before. It just feels so wonderful to have a connection to our old home again. The anticipation is huge, and I can barely wait to have them here.

Other things are moving forward too: I went to language school this week and took a placement test. The result really surprised me positively! They placed me in "Danskudannelse 3:2," and after Easter I'll attend classes there twice a week. I'm really curious about how it will go. What makes me especially happy: I don't have to start nearly as far back as I'd feared. Apparently, I've already picked up quite a solid foundation. So it really paid off that I've been learning daily with my two apps! This confirmation motivates me tremendously for the upcoming language course.

Michael has also been very busy. We bought a large bookcase wall for my room at IKEA, plus a guest bed. So now we have another guest room in case visitors with children or similar come. But most importantly, I really wanted to finally have a proper bookcase wall for my books. We did manage to move my old bookshelf here, which I've owned for 25 years, with a lot of effort. But unfortunately, it wasn't big enough for all my books anymore.

Back in Germany, I had them scattered throughout the whole house, but I didn't want that again here. So I started adding two smaller shelves, but that wasn't enough either. And now I'm overjoyed that we bought this 4-meter monster at IKEA - a "monster" really only because it's so beautifully huge! It looks wonderful, and I'm really proud of it. My books have finally all found their place, and I can even buy a few more.

These are the small and big moments that show me I'm slowly settling in here. My own space is taking shape, the language is becoming more tangible, and soon the first dear people will come to visit. It feels like something is loosening inside me - like home is now coming to me.
